Ship code over iMessage from a secure, dedicated machine running your favorite CLI. Walk away from work while letting it work.

To the developers building what comes next,
For decades, the terms of our craft have been set by a single piece of hardware: the laptop. Open the lid, and work begins. Close it, and work stops. But ideas are often spurred by the activities that occur away from a laptop: the workouts, the conversations, the commutes. Engineers were presented with two options—productivity or freedom—and asked to choose one.
Tuft dissolves that false dichotomy. It is an agent that lives on a machine that never sleeps, reachable from Slack, from iMessage—from wherever you are. Tuft is designed for the ideas that arrive in transit: on the chairlift, during the hike, or even mid-flight.
But Tuft is also built for productivity. With Tuft, you can orchestrate fifteen agents at once via Slack, seamlessly switch between Claude Code and Codex on a single iMessage thread, and fall back on native terminal UIs, accessible on the web or over SSH.
A few convictions guide us:
An agent is a teammate, not an API. It deserves its own identity—its own credentials, its own permissions, its own audit trail.
Agents work best, and are most powerful, in their native environments.
Leverage should return time, not consume it. The reward for automating the tedious parts of engineering is not just more output, but also more freedom.
This is early work, and it will change. But we would rather build it with you than alone.
Best,
The Tuft team.
A contributor without compromise
Review its PRs, approve commits, and roll back, the same way you would for a human
No need to choose
Pick your favorite CLI and SSH into a full remote terminal session anytime.
Async by nature
Built for texting, so you can check in from the trail without parsing a wall of logs.
Serious hardware
Run Tuft in the cloud, or a dedicated Mac Mini provisioned just for you.
Works while you sleep
Close your laptop lid; Tuft keeps working and pings you when needed.
Secure from first principles
Your agent is like your intern—give it what it needs, and nothing more.
AI makes the mechanical parts of coding trivially fast; the bottleneck is your taste, your judgment, your ideas. Tuft allows you to iterate quickly, turning those ideas into PRs, at the office or on the road.
