These apps demonstrate how developers turn ideas into polished experiences. 2025 marks the very first edition, and we're excited to celebrate the work that sets the bar for what's possible with Expo and React Native.

A celebration of imagination
From striking art direction to playful mechanics, this award honors the apps that surprise, delight, and push design into new territory. A demonstration of Expo as a canvas for creativity in addition to code.
Community's choice
The people’s award
These apps will be voted on through an open poll on 𝕏. This category celebrates the apps that capture hearts and spark conversations. A reminder that great apps are made for people, by people.
Largest scale
Enterprise at its finest
This award goes to the app that tackles immense complexity with clarity, proving Expo can scale to the toughest challenges. A showcase of engineering mastery and organizational ambition.
Most Innovative
The frontier award
Given to indie teams, startups, or anyone daring to try something new, this award highlights bold ideas and features that reimagine what apps can be. Where originality meets execution, and Expo helps dreams take shape.
Terms and rules
Submissions
Due to the large volume of submissions we’re expecting and the manual review process, you’ll receive an automatic reply acknowledging your submission. Each submission is reviewed manually, and we’ll follow up if your app is nominated.
We encourage you to share as much detail as possible about the technical nuances of your app when submitting. We want to know what makes your application special.
Limit: one submission per person (one email per submission).
Selection process
Expo's team will review each submission using a mix of objective criteria and subjective judgment, and will make the final call on what feels right for each category. Decisions will be made internally, without outside reviewers or legal appeals.
Finalists will be announced on this page, 𝕏, and Bluesky on November 6th, and winners will be revealed on November 13th.
