We're looking for a Business Analyst to own the analytics that drive business decisions at Expo. You'll be responsible for revenue reporting, SaaS metrics, financial analysis, and building the dashboards and models that leadership relies on to run the business. This role partners closely with Finance, Growth, and executive leadership to deliver insights on revenue performance, customer retention, pricing strategy, and operational efficiency. If you love turning messy data into clear business narratives, this is the role for you.
Own SaaS revenue analytics including MRR/ARR reporting, waterfall calculations (new business, expansion, contraction, churn), and net dollar retention analysis
Build and maintain executive dashboards and reports that track key business metrics—revenue, retention, customer acquisition costs, and unit economics
Prepare board-ready reporting packages including cohort analyses, logo retention, and growth metrics
Partner with Growth on revenue forecasting, budget vs. actuals analysis, and financial planning
Analyze pricing and packaging performance, supporting decisions on plan structures, pricing changes, and monetization strategy
Develop and maintain data models in DBT to ensure clean, reliable, and well-documented analytics infrastructure
Investigate churn and contraction trends, identifying root causes and quantifying business impact
Build financial models and business cases to evaluate new initiatives, pricing experiments, and strategic investments
Create self-service reporting capabilities that enable stakeholders to access the data they need independently
3-5 years of experience in business analytics, finance analytics, or a similar analytical role, preferably in a SaaS or subscription business
Deep understanding of SaaS business metrics including MRR/ARR, NDR, logo retention, LTV, CAC, and waterfall calculations (new business, expansion, contraction, churn)
Advanced SQL skills—you're comfortable writing complex queries, working with large datasets, and optimizing for performance
Experience with DBT or LookML for data modeling and analytics engineering
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills—pivot tables, advanced formulas, financial modeling, and data manipulation
Experience with BI/visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Lightdash, or similar)
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data insights to strategic decisions and financial outcomes
Excellent communication skills—you can present complex analyses clearly to executives, investors, and cross-functional stakeholders
Self-directed and detail-oriented—you take ownership of deliverables and ensure accuracy in high-stakes reporting
